V. Kheyfets’ research focuses on applying machine learning and computational modeling to study cardiopulmonary disease. He has over 20 years of experience in these fields, spanning both academic and industry settings. Over the past seven years, he has taught courses on machine learning, computational modeling, and bioinformatics at the University of Colorado. He has been invited to deliver talks at Stanford University, Yale University, and National Jewish Hospital, and to provide lectures on machine learning and algorithm development in industry (e.g., Garmin Ltd). He was also invited to deliver keynote addresses on patient-specific computational modeling at both the U.S. Congress of Computational Mechanics and the World Congress of Computational Mechanics.
